Starting April 25, 2024, we inform you that the percentage of bonus points offered to acquiring merchants (non-partners) will be 0.1% of the value of transactions made at POS (physical and e-commerce).
What you need to know about Bonus Card Gold
- Approved limit and currency: between 9,500 Lei and 24,999 Lei, up to 3 times the eligible income
- You can have different benefits from campaigns with Bonus Card
- You get up to 10% Bonus from the value of merchant partners purchases. The value of 1 Bonus Point is 1 Leu
- You get up to 0,1% discount on your shopping to any merchant
- You can buy everything you need in free installments with 0% interest at merchant partners
- You have over 3000 Bonus Card Gold partners to use your bonus
- You get up to 50 days grace period for POS transactions if you pay back the whole amount before the grace period ends
- You can use up to 50% of the credit limit for cash advance transactions
- You can also get up to 3 supplementary Bonus Card Gold for which you can set the limit amount to be used
- You can benefit of a refinancing program of any type of credit from another bank, within a limit of 20,000* Lei in up to 36 interest free installments**
* Customers eligible for refinancing are only customers who do not have a Bonus Card from Garanti BBVA or if they have owned a Bonus Card it was closed at least 36 months ago from the date of requesting the new card
** If the entire current debt is paid until due date.
Free lounge access (valid from 1 January to 31 December 2026)
Starting from 01.01.2026, access to airport lounges for Bonus Card Gold is made through the Priority Pass network. Your card gives you access to more than 1800 lounges in 146 countries.

- Present your physical Bonus card Gold card at the entrance and request access via Priority Pass
- Register the card in the Priority Pass app (App Store / Google Play) and scan the QR code in the app.

Number of visits and necessary conditions
Bonus Card Gold: up to 3 visits/year, with a minimum of 1,000 RON spent on shopping in the calendar month prior to the visit.
Transactions must be completed and settled in full within the previous month, no later than 96 hours before access is requested. Cash withdrawals are not considered eligible transactions.
Example: for a visit to the lounge on January 5, the system checks the new purchases made between December 1-31, and the total value must be at least 1,000 RON.
Additional visits
If the free visits have been used up, additional access is available for a fee (standard Priority Pass rate).

Additional cards benefit from the same conditions, within the limit of free visits per card.

Safe shopping
- Wherever you are, you can benefit of card replacement or cash advance in case your card has been lost or stolen.
- You have optional SMS alert for all purchases performed with your Bonus Card.
- Bonus Card offers you extra-secure online shopping, by providing you with an extra-security filter: 3D Secure. This allows you to confirm all online payments, by using a security code which you will receive on your phone.
Insurance
You get a free Travel Health Insurance that covers emergency health problems that may occur during your travels abroad (see details here).
You can benefit of a Payment Protection Insurance for only 0.168% applied to the total current and future debts from your last Bonus Card statement. And you will pay it automatically from your Bonus Card available limit (see details here).

The funds deposited in current accounts, savings accounts or time deposits opened by customers with Garanti BBVA are protected through the guarantee scheme administered by the Bank Deposit Guarantee Fund, up to 100,000 EUR, RON equivalent, as specified in the conditions from Information Form for Depositors and in the List of Deposits Exempted from Compensation, which you can read here.

Contactless technology
Fast payments by simply tapping the card to a POS/device with contactless functionality without PIN code for transactions below 100 RON. The cumulative amount that can be spent from contactless transactions is 700 RON, once you surpass this threshold the PIN will be required.

Documents attesting the income from salaries, rents, service provision, freelance activities, dividends, pensions, etc.(more details at Garanti BBVA agencies);
- If your salary is reported to ANAF we only need your approval to check ANAF database, no income statement required in this case;
