Garanti BBVA Romania’s 100% online loan wins ‘Voted Product of the Year 2025’ in the personal loans category

Bucharest, June 10th –  Garanti BBVA Romania’s 100% online loan has been named “Voted Product of the Year 2025” in the Personal Loans category, following a consumer survey that assessed perceived innovation, attractiveness, purchase intent, and overall satisfaction. This digital solution allows existing customers to quickly access a loan, directly through the bank’s Mobile Banking application, with no branch visits or paperwork required.

The distinction reaffirms the bank’s commitment to providing accessible, fast, and lifestyle-oriented services, through the ongoing digitalization of its banking processes.

We are honored to receive this recognition, which confirms our commitment to transforming the way customers interact with the bank. The 100 percent online loan reflects a clear vision of the future of financial services, one in which technology brings autonomy, simplicity and valuable time saved. Through Mobile Banking, we aim to help every customer put their plans into motion with a simple tap, free of stress and unnecessary trips,” said Tolga Banyocu, Deputy General Manager, Client Solutions Area, Garanti BBVA Romania.

By using the Garanti BBVA Mobile app, customers can apply for a personal loan of up to 250,000 lei, by following a few simple steps: they log in, select the loan type, amount, and duration, complete the required information, receive a personalized offer, and sign the contract electronically. Once completed, the funds are transferred to their account within seconds.

“Voted Product of the Year” is a prestigious international competition, launched in France in 1987 by former L’Oréal executive Christian LeBret. Today, the concept is active in over 45 countries and aims to give consumers a voice by creating a genuine connection between them, brands, and relevant products, based on an extensive market survey.

For this year’s edition in Romania, the study was conducted online by Treetz Sprl between March 24 and May 31, 2025, covering 23 product categories. The total sample included 6,445 respondents from urban areas, all over the age of 18. In the Personal Loans category, the sample consisted of 500 respondents.

The evaluation criteria were innovation, attractiveness, purchase intent, and satisfaction. Winning products were voted by consumers from among similar products in each category. More details about this project are available at www.produsulanului.com.
