Garanti BBVA caps variable interest rate to 5,97% during the first three years of the loans in Noua Casa Program, minimum down payment remaining 5%.

Bucharest, 21 July – Garanti BBVA Romania launches a new lending offer under the Noua Casă (New Home) 2025 Program, with a minimum down payment of only 5% for eligible properties and variable interest rate capped at 5,97% per year for the first three years of the loan.

The capped interest rate 5,97% /year represents a significant reduction from the actual standard variable rate 7.55%/year (IRCC+1,98%/year), providing a more accessible and stable financial start.

In case total value of the standard interest, IRCC+1,98%/year, will go below the capped interest rate of 5,97%/year during the first three years of the loan, Garanti BBVA customers will benefit from the lower value of interest rate.

Besides capped interest rate, Garanti BBVA offers an additional benefit that consists in zero cost for property evaluation report.

After the initial three-year period, the loan continues with the standard variable interest rate applied under the Noua Casa Program, which consists of 3-month IRCC (Consumer Credit Reference Index) plus a fixed margin of 1.98% per year.

The offer is valid until December 31, 2025, or until the ceiling distributed by National Credit Guarantee Fund for Small and Medium Enterprises (FNGCIMM) is exhausted.

The Noua Casă loan can be accessed with a minimum down payment of 5% for transactions up to 70,000 Euro (RON equiv.), whether they are old homes completed or consolidated more than five years before the loan application, or new homes build or consolidated within the last five years. In these cases, the maximum loan amount is 66,500 Euro, equivalent in RON.

For new homes acquisition, depending on the transaction value, maximum loan amount can reach up to 119,000 Euro with a minimum required down payment of 15%.
