Garanti Bank joins the members of the Romanian Green Building Council

Bucharest, January 16, 2017 – Garanti Bank has become a member of the Romanian Green Building Council (RoGBC), confirming the company’s commitment to support sustainability in the construction and real estate industry in Romania.

Garanti Bank thus joins over 60 companies that support the green buildings sector and joins the RoGBC mission to support the transition of the construction industry and the real estate sector to sustainability-based performance.

RoGBC aims to create an exemplary model of sustainable development for the region in which it operates, making sure that the environment created will not represent a threat to future generations, but instead it will be a source of health, safety, comfort, innovation and economic development possibilities.

The programs developed by RoGBC in order to support the development of the sector include the Green Homes Green Building Certification Program, Green Mortgage Financial Product, Green Homes Solution Provider Accreditation, and the training program Green Building Professional.
