Garanti Bank Romania Environmental Policy
The executive management of GARANTI BANK SA attaches great importance to the Environmental Management System, with the help of which it wants to guarantee that each of the activities and processes related to the field of applicability:
PROVISION OF MONETARY INTERMEDIARY SERVICES
corresponds to the requirements of the interested parties relevant to the activity carried out by our organization, in accordance with the requirements of the SR EN ISO14001:2015 standard.
The policy regarding the management of the environmental system ensures the necessary framework for achieving the strategic objectives related to the next stage of the organization’s development, respectively:
- Application of environmental legal regulations, sustainability programs developed in national/international platforms, integration of the Environmental Management System in our processes in order to fulfill our obligations from the legal requirements and the programs we have joined;
- Respecting environmental protection and preventing pollution, reducing resource consumption and their sustainable use, promoting the protection of ecosystems and biodiversity;
- Keeping under control the direct impacts on the environment arising from our activities, the continuous improvement of performance and the minimization of negative effects on the environment;
- Understanding the needs of all interested parties by encouraging the exchange of information that contributes to everyone's awareness and development;
- Increasing the professional competence of employees to actively contribute to the maintenance and improvement of the Environmental Management System.
The strategic objectives in the field of environmental protection derive from the general objectives of the Sustainability Policy of Garanti Bank SA and are transposed into specific objectives within the management program and are compatible with the strategic direction and context of the organization.
The policy is communicated to all employees and is available to all interested parties. All personnel in the organization are responsible for knowing and applying the Environmental Policy and the provisions contained in the Environmental Management System documentation.
The Executive Management of GARANTI BANK SA expresses its commitment to the provision of material and human resources in order to develop and continuously improve the effectiveness of the Environmental Management System, as well as to communicate, verify compliance and application, by the entire staff, of the established Policy and objectives within the organization.
