IMPORTANT!
According to OUG 193/2002 with further additons, „legal entities performing retail trade activities and registering an annual turnover higher than 10,000 EUR in LEI equivalent will accept as method payment both debit cards and credit cards”. International card payment systems imply the payment, by the Accepting Bank to the Issuing Bank of some commissions, called interchange commissions. According to UE Regulation 2015/751 of the European Parliament and European Councel from April 29th, 2015, merchants have the right to know the value of the interchange commissions, which can be checked on the website of Visa and MasterCard.
